Kathryn Markel Fine Arts is pleased to present its latest solo exhibition of recent paintings by Susan English. At the core of this new body of work are the ideas of space, boundaries, and perception. The periphery is defined as the outer limit or the edge of a place or an object – a dropping off point. English is drawn to the expansive spaces where the horizon is seen as an edge, one that might be perceived only indirectly or unconsciously.
