Josette Urso

I paint directly and urgently from life.  My paintings are “moment-to-moment” extrapolations. In them, I tap a kind of “hyper” or “trippy” vision, as I look simultaneously in all directions while zooming in and out of focus. I work in my studio and outside, always courting the notion of immediacy and always striving to discover and engage the known as well as the unknown in unforeseen ways.
